Smoothie Recipe

I use Cook's 5 in 1 Power Blender because it's the perfect size for a smoothie and very easy to clean.

These are approximate amounts except for the flaxseed and yogurt

Berry Banana Smoothie

6 ounce banana-strawberry yogurt (I use kroger's carbmaster; it has very little sugar and 12 g protein

one small banana, sliced
half cup on skim milk
2 tablespoons flaxseed (optional)
one cup frozen berry blend (I used walmart in the one pound bag)

Blend and drink.  It's so good.  I will be trying cherry yogurt tomorrow.  Hope you enjoy this.

Chess Cake Squares-My Favorite

I love this recipe! A friend of mine who used to bring it work, tried to give me the recipe and I refused because I knew I would eat it all.  I finally caved in when I wanted my mom to try it. She loves it too! It makes a great dessert for get-togethers.

1 Box of Yellow Cake Mix                               1 stick of Margarine, melted
4 eggs                                                               one 8 ounce pkg of cream cheese, softened
1 Box of Confectioner's Sugar (one pound)

Beat cake mix, margarine and one egg together. Press into 9" x 13" pan.  Mix cream cheese, eggs and sugar together.  Pour over top of  crust (pressed mixture).  Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.  Leave in oven and turn off.  It will create a semi-shiny flaky topping and give it a light golden color.  YUMMMY!

A super simple recipe with only 6 ingredients. Use only one pot to make this. I like to freeze my big cookie sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper.

Cow Patties

1 stick butter
1 1/2 c Sugar
   1/4 c Cocoa
1/2 c Milk, evaporated (diluted)or whole milk is better. You can also
             use  whipping cream.
   1/2 c Peanut Butter
   1 tablespoon Vanilla
1 cup Oatmeal, quick oats, less if old fashioned.

Melt butter on med-high heat, add sugar, cocoa and milk and heat to boil.  Boil 3 minutes on medium heat. Remove from heat and let mixture cool (approx. 10 minutes).  Stir in vanilla, then peanut butter, then oats. Stir all well.  Cool in fridge about 15 minutes.  Remove from fridge and drop big spoonfuls on lined cookie sheet. Return to fridge to cool. YUM!

Makes approx. 15 cow patties 2 1/2"-3". You can make them smaller if you want more.

Many people who don't like cow patties will like these because they are not hard or dry and they do not fall apart and cause crumbs. They are moist and delicious. I just made some tonight.
